Important Questions

Where and when are the church's services?

We meet each Sunday at the church at 141 E Main Street, Leola.

Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. and the Morning Worship starts at 10:15 a.m.

What should I wear?

At any given service you will find a range of clothing from casual to business. Please wear whatever clothes make you feel most comfortable. We care far more that you're here than what clothing you wear.

How long are your services?

Services vary from an hour to an hour and a quarter.

What are your services like?

Our services focus on worship and preaching. We share some announcements at the beginning of the morning, sing, pray and and hear teaching about God's word.

Our music is a mixture of traditional and contemporary. Our Praise Team assists in worship on the second and the fifth Sunday's of each month.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out?

We have no wish to embarrass, single -out or put anyone on the spot. Though we do receive an offering, we don't want anyone to feel obligated to give. We do like to collect some basic information from people in our guest registry, but if you'd prefer not to, that's fine as well.

What about my children?

A staffed nursery is available during the Sunday School hour and during Morning Worship.

Children's Church is offered during the Morning Worship service. Children, from Pre-K to 3rd grade, attend the 10:15 a.m. service and are dismissed after enjoying worship time through song with their parents.

Parents are always welcome to attend and observe any of our children's ministries.

What about Religious Education?

Sunday School classes are offered for all ages (Pre-K through adult), during the 9:00 a.m. service.

Adult Sunday school classes offer in-depth exploration of Biblical truths and contemporary issues that affect your life.

Is the church handicap accessible?

Yes. The handicap accessible entrance is on the north side of the building (away from Main Street). We also offer hearing assistance devices and large print bulletins and hymnals.

What kind of church are you?

We have roots going back over 280 years in the heritage of the Church of the Brethren and hold it as an important element of our history.

Most importantly, we believe that Conestoga is a safe place for people who are looking for answers to their spiritual questions. It's also a place where those who have decided to follow Jesus Christ can learn and be encouraged in their spiritual growth.
